Depleted uranium does not emit a radiation, it is indeed depleted.

But not till a point it can be detected using instruments from a distance of kms or using drones. And it is harmful for the chemicals, not for the radiation itself. A friend of mine had a bar of depleted uranium inside epoxy, and he had no problem going around with it. He used to work as electrician in a facility where they were enriching uranium, using a californio source. @sanramonsisters

Sure it is. But my comment was to highlight that you don't have to hide the depo near a nuclear plant, because the radiation is so low that won't be able to detect it anyway. If you want to destroy the depo, you need to know where it is. So maybe it is near a nuclear plant, because Russians will not attack near the nuclear plant using missiles, but not to avoid detection. @aov6563

Please inform yourself. The munitions are dangerous when they get fired, for who fires them (and who is around), and also for the environment, because who fires can inhale uranium dust and fumes, and the uranium is dispersed in the environment. But not because of the radiation itself. Also my comment pointed out that a munition depo containing depleted uranium munitions, cannot be detected because of its low radioactivity. @paulaheady8990
