  2. Italy debt is different, it is mostly in the hands of Italians. A large portion of Italy’s government bonds is held by domestic investors — Italian banks, households, insurance companies, and pension funds — rather than by foreign investors. This is really important. Also debt does not mean anything. Argentina defaulted 3 times in the last 20 years. The problem is not the debt itself, but that we keep doing that, that Italians live with money they do not have. And that because the machine to run the country is too expensive and corrupted. One day I will fix it, when I will be Prime Minister. It needs to get worse before I can run my show and take power.
