  1. 4:55 It's probably worth doing a video on KT Li. He seems like a key politician in Taiwan's economic success. I'll go have a read of his Wikipedia page.

  2. As he said a in a previous video: "In semiconductors either you are the leader, or you suck". TSMC is the leader in high performance chip manufacturing. It's not currently Intel, not Global Foundries (spun out from AMD), not Samsung. And certainty not currently China's SMIC. It probably also helps that Asianometry is based out of Taiwan, and TSMC is the world-leading technology company from Taiwan.
