  1. If this video does well, I highly recommend making a video titled "Why Australia Can't Build Submarines". The Australian Government controls a large state-owned enterprise formerly known "Australian Submarine Corporation" which focuses on building ships for its military. A few years ago Australia's then-Defence Minister said that he "wouldn't trust them to build a canoe". A politician saying that of his own nation's industrial base is pretty jaw-dropping, and shows how far Australia's heavy industry has receded. It seems like a great story for Asianometry, particularly in light of the "AUKUS" nuclear submarine deal.

  3. The cars were exported. Higher exchange rate makes the exports more expensive for overseas buyer. Basically Low exchanges rates are good for exporters, high exchange rates are good for importers (or people who import raw material to produce their stuff)
