  1. Even without separating the internet using the Great Firewall of China, the language barrier continues to be a big barrier. Most English speakers who visit Facebook, YouTube or Reddit will only speak to other English speakers and rarely consume any content in eg, Korean, Spanish, or Hindi (other than cultural exports like Gangnam Style, Despacito and possibly, the Macarena).

  2.  @shakingwater  You can type "!g" in a DuckDuckGo search query to make it search using Google. You might find that your percentage of searches with "!g" falls over time.
