  1. lol Communist China doesn't represent 5000 years of Chinese civilization. Mao Zedong destroyed much of that cultural legacy by his "Four Olds" campaign (Destroying Old Ideas, Old Culture, Old Habits, Old Customs). The only reason why many ancient Chinese artifacts have survived is they were moved to Taiwan by Chiang Kai-Shek's people, and saved from destruction during Mao's violent and deadly Cultural Revolution. The CCP propaganda likes to blame the West for everything, but much of what pushed China backwards was Mao and the CCP. You don't see kangaroo courts in modern Taiwan. Hong Kong is has become a different story though (with the CCP takeover virtually complete).
