Viewers may have heard of Gavin Menzies book "1421: The Year China Discovered the World", which theorizes Zheng He visited the Americas (pre-Columbus) and his vice admiral Hong Bao visited Australia and just of the coast of Antarctica. Scientific inquiry of whether or not the Taiwanese aboriginals (Polynesian heritage) settled all of Polynesia and Australia is a good thing, but the spread of false historical narrative like Menzies, and the sudden appearance of maps purportedly date from hundreds of years ago showing the landmass of Australian and Antarctica may form the basis of territorial claims over not just Australia, but also Antarctica. Just something for clear-eyed Asianometry viewers to keep an eye out for.
