China's growth is built on unsustainable debt. Keep selling iron ore to China until the gravy train ends. We still need to find new markets as soon as possible because (like it or not) in the 2030s the middle income trap is gonna hit China like a freight train.

Anybody can read the full (redacted) report by the Inspector-General of the Australian Defence Force searching the internet for "IGADF Afghanistan Inquiry Report". There's evidence that 39 people were murdered by the ADF, and they've been referred to the police. It's expected the perpetrators will receive a fair trial followed by (if and when they're found guilty) a lengthy jail sentence.

Karlos Khaos Easy to make allegations but you haven't even linked to any evidence. Google doesn't show up any articles with the keywords that you've suggested. Your comments reek of disinformation (and whataboutism) unless you have actual citations to link to.

MINDisLIFE, The purpose of ScoMo's press conference is to create international headlines. To draw red lines where the Chinese Communist Party will be called out and lose face for this kind of diplomacy. They'll never apologize but I doubt they'll be doing it again. Otherwise the European countries will be seeing headlines of Australia calling out CCP tactics weekly.

Try to avoid buying Made in China when you go shopping. There's plenty of alternatives from Korean/Japan/Taiwanese brands. Eg, Samsung smartphones made in Vietnam, Bicycles and many computer components are often made in Taiwan etc.

@graysonmcmillan8690 The reason manufacturing is leaving China to other countries is because wages are too high there

Mad respect to ScoMo for actively standing up to the government of China. Countries need to react strongly when the government of China engages in disinformation campaigns otherwise it will continue its "salami slicing" behavior -- the same way the CCP annexing and militarized the South China Sea islands. The only way to stop the CCP's disinformation is to cause the government of China to massively lose face internationally whenever they do it. Great job ScoMo!

Karlos Khaos Do you have any links to the allegations of U-238 ammunition being manufactured in Australia and that this causes birth defects in Iraq? Please trustworthy sources only, not CCP disinformation or RT (Russia Today) disinformation. I am happy to condemn such acts if there's real evidence of it.

Karlos Khaos OK I found a link on the Exercise Talisman Saber FAQ "Depleted uranium munitions are not in the Australian Defence Force inventory and are not permitted to be used for use by foreign or domestic forces within Australia. Depleted uranium munitions will not be used". You are spreading disinformation.

Lots of Korean and Japanese brands are not made in China. Eg, Samsung phones are all made in Vietnam. A lot of clothing these days is made in eg, Bangladesh. The world is already decoupling from China but right now you still have to do a little research to avoid the Made In China stuff

USSR? You mean the Russian Federation right?

*Chinese Communist Party. But yes: diversify, diversify, diversify.

The Chinese Communist Party (Red China) was NOT Australia's World War 2 ally. Australia was allied with the Kuomintang. The CCP just waited until the Kuomintang was weakened after defeating the Japanese then came in and defeated them. They ended up retreating to Taiwan. Unlike China, Taiwan is a prosperous and democratic country that shares universal values with Australia.
