  2. It's nothing to do with the Chinese people. The United States chooses not to transfer technology to the government of China and their military. Tech transfer to China gets used to suppress Uyghers in concentration camps.

  3. The reason China was excluded from the ISS was the fear that it would accelerate China's use of space for military purposes and give China more espionage opportunities. Whilst Russia / Soviet Union already had space technology that had already been mature, and the Russian Federation of the 1990s was a full blown democracy (for an extremely short period of time). This video isn't thorough enough about the geopolitical reasons of China's exclusion.

  4. Also now that Russia under Putin a authoritarian nation that annexes territories like Crimea the political will of including Russia in international space missions is definitely waning.
