The problem with it, tech that's viable, if viable, could be improved upon before it's finished. It's a big infrastructure project. That happened with trains, venture capitalists built a lot of it, but it's messy because of the proprietary tech etc. But maybe compare it to nuclear fusion. I'm thinking about ITER. But then maybe that's why European interest is so high? My half brother Liam - who I don't know very well at all - works at ITER as a vaccuum specialist engineer, or did. Dunno if he's still there. He literally wrote a (industry standard) book. Whilst the talk is about welcoming competition/collaboration there's still lots of issues about viability, with getting to generating a proof of concept - and that's really all ITER is meant to do and it's a massive international collaboration. I don't know enough about it, but it seems suggestive of levels of difficulty & limitations. It's not just about the vaccuum or massive built infrastructure but it does also involve magnets. Maybe I'm getting it mixed up and working Mag Lev is already a huge jump start. On the other hand an issue has to be stabilising - plasma Vs vibranium mag lev lol - too. This technology is not easy to work with. PS I really don't feel inadequate and try to overcompensate cough

Elon Musk gender stuff, overblown and just as overplayed as everything that annoyed me about gender as a kid. Go with the flow. 👋 Neighborhood enby! (Allergic to Musk)
