  1. Sometimes people don't understand what fascism is. They think it means concentration camps, mass genocide, etc. Those are the last stages of the fascism, not first. Hitler didn't begin from camps and genocide. The very first indication of a fascist regime is the abolition of normal laws . Today - one rule, tomorrow - another, after tomorrow - another goal post moved, and so on. The very goal of such regime is to ensure that anyone, anytime, for any reason can be made guilty, locked up, not allowed to return home, banned from seeing a dying relative, sacked from work, etc. That's what fascism is: total lawlessness enforced by the ruling class. We live in such conditions since February 2020.

  4.  ausisapolicestate  Under Leonid Brezhnev's rule it was almost a liberal democracy. The laws were stable. No curfews, no quarantines, no masks, no lockdowns, etc. - nothing of that BS. You buy a train ticket and go from Moscow to Vladivostok; no questions asked.

  8.  @helenmcdonnell2585  Thank you, Helen. The Anglophone civilization is under the most vicious attack in modern history; lots of traitors in the corridors of power. Regarding the USSR: after the death of Stalin the things were gradually transformed to relative normality. I was born in the USSR and lived in that era there. Our lives weren't much different from the lives of young people in the West: we listened the same music, dated girls, went to universities, went on summer holidays, etc.
