  9. No pandemic can last that long. In Moscow in 1959 there was an outbreak of smallpox (one of the tourists brought it from India). Smallpox isn't "covid", it has 50% mortality rate on average without supportive therapy. So, that was liquidated in 2.5 month. The city of 7 mln. people didn't know anything about it at all . Several thousand people were quarantined, several dozen fell ill, 4 (only four !) fatalities. And that was it.
