@timothy8428 The Constitution guarantees free movement of people and free trade all around the country. There is no "pandemic"; the premiers and the media must stop fooling the people. We have just 8000 infected, and everyone either is asymptomatic or experiences symptoms of seasonal flu. Just about 100 very old people died, due to existing health conditions.

@heatherd7353 Read again the clause that guarantees free movement of people, free trade, etc. Only the Federal government has the right to decide if a particular area needs a quarantine imposed.

@AChannelFrom2006 No, it is not more lethal than the flu. All mortalities in Australia (just above 100) have been elderly or very old people. Which means that their immune system was very weak, and they died of medical conditions associated with the age, not with the virus. Whatever happens in other countries - not our business. They may have different statistical approach, or just low standards of health care; or just their digits have been forged. But the fact that closed borders don't bother you is regrettable. We cannot allow ourselves such a luxury as being divided and weak. We have a huge territory to defend, but our population is just 25 million, and our army is small. At the moment we can only rely on America for protection; but the USA are in turmoil themselves. We must be united and work hard to build the defenses, not pointing fingers at each other due to such minuscule reason as seasonal flu.

We have a territory to defend, of the size of USA without Alaska. Israel is an example how to build a regional superpower with full nuclear triad, right from scratch. So we have an excellent example to follow. )

@Nathan BuiReal quarantine is when you are locked up, and not allowed to open your door. That what happens if there is REAL infection like smallpox. If you are free to go places, that is not quarantine; that is imitation, for political reasons.
