But they are neither particles nor waves. They are objects whose behavior is described by the well-known equations of quantum mechanics. Our brains struggle to create a picture of the events at the quantum level, and that's the wrong approach, because all we have are (a) experiments, and (b) equations. If we stick to (a) and (b), all things automatically fall into place.
