Timothy, every time I pick up Ethics of Beauty or hear you speak, I encounter another layer of depth and richness and another idea to pursue - another way to capture what you are saying and put it in different contexts. I love what you say about becoming true, recovering wholeness, being mild, and of course, the city as liturgy. Also I'm very happy to know about the Emmanuel Gospel Center which is right here in Boston and I love the analogy of the cat and the toaster. John, come to Boston and do a Keipi dinner! Please?   5. Agree with you 100% that teenagers want to do something with meaning. They want to be involved in real world things and if they aren't it leads to behavioral issues.

  8. John, this is so good. I love your point about becoming dis-embodied through our time spent in virtual community. We need to go out of our way and discipline ourselves to be face to face with the unpredictable, dirty world. Makes me think of the savages in Brave New World.
