Oh yeah that’s it. Also the fact that now we have a highly transmissible Delta variant that spreads really easily.

  4. We were lucky because we didn’t have any cases in the community then. Unlike now when they’re identifying over 100 new cases every day! There also wasn’t the more easily transmissible Delta variant that spreads super fast. Oh but hey. Don’t let logic & facts get in the way of your propaganda 🙄

  7. @MY CATS COOL 💩 That’s a load of rubbish 🙄 Where did you pull your stats from? Thin air? Facebook? The majority of infections are from unvaccinated people who aren’t taking proper precautions or isolating themselves. Although I do agree that people who have been vaccinated think they’re now 100% immune when they’re not, it’s the unvaccinated who don’t wear masks, don’t wear them properly, are not isolating at first symptoms or who are asymptomatic who are spreading most of the disease.

  8. Why would we be so stupid as to protest measures that are helping to save lives? Sure it’s a pain in the butt, it’s making life tough financially, but if it means that my loved ones don’t die or get seriously sick because of someone else’s selfishness, then we do what needs to be done.

Was going to say that it makes sense to cancel a massive public event as Covid is out of control in NSW & vaccinations aren’t 100% effective in stopping the virus, nor are 100% of the people getting vaccinated & that won’t change by Dec. But to cancel the 2100 event but not the midnight one makes no sense. 🤔

  12. I’m ashamed that fellow Aussies are violently protesting measures that are purely designed to save lives & save our economy in the long run. We have brought multiple outbreaks under control with brief lockdowns. This is spiralling out of control & a gathering of thousands of people with no masks won’t have helped that. It will just prolong the lockdown measures that have to be taken. And before you try telling me that Covid isn’t real or is some mind control BS, I am a Critical Care Paramedic/EMD & I know it’s real. I also know our hospitals cannot cope with a massive outbreak of Covid. They’re struggling already. Our ambulances are spending hours ramped at hospitals, while people having life threatening emergencies are waiting for an ambulance that can’t offload its previous patients. And that’s without mentioning the vicious cowards who punched police horses!!!

If people followed the rules & didn’t go out of their way to mingle with others without wearing masks, we’d be a hell of a lot better off!
