  2. 14yr old girls don’t know exactly what they’re doing. They don’t fully comprehend the long term consequences & are driven to a large extent by hormones. Sorry but it’s a fact. The part of the brain that deals with consequences isn’t fully developed until they’re in their early to mid 20’s. She IS still a child & she IS vulnerable to someone manipulating her because of their own emotional needs, which are no doubt messed up because of what she went through.

  3. ⁠ @rogrambo Your perception is completely skewed if you think this isn’t a high stress situation. And if that is normal to you & you’re no longer in active conflict zones, you need to get counselling. Being in a war zone, you know that you’re likely to encounter shooting pretty much any moment. You’re prepared for it to some degree. Especially if you know you’re heading out on a mission. Even for cops who are called to an incident, the same thing happens. They have at least a few minutes to prepare. But going from chatting to kids about wearing their seatbelts to running towards gunfire at a shopping centre, knowing you’re alone & with no idea how many people & what you’re facing, is a whole different story. And tbh, I highly doubt you’re a real veteran with a name like “rogrambo” 🙄 Sounds like the kind of name a kid who plays lots of computer games gives themselves trying to sound tough. People that are actually tough, don’t go around trying to tell everyone they’re tough 🙄

It’s one thing to respond to an incident knowing you’re going to a mass shooting where you can mentally prepare yourself a bit, but to be telling kids to wear their seatbelt one second & then running towards a mass shooter is a whole different story.

  7. Why are so many men getting away with this? They’re the ones paying to be with these kids. They’re the ones buying photos & videos of them. And there are usually men involved in kidnapping them in the first place. Look hard at your husband, father, brother, uncle & friends. But look at the women in your life too. Are they involved in this kind of horror?

  8. That poor poor girl. Police policy needs to change to the other way around - teens need to be presumed kidnapped unless evidence shows they’re a runaway. Especially if she went missing from the middle of a game she went to voluntarily. If she’d gone missing with a backpack full of clothes, her phone, stolen money etc in the middle of the night from home or from school, it’s understandable that she’d be considered a runaway. But really??? They should report to the closest police officer too to save delays. Thank goodness the family went to the anti trafficking group. Imagine how long that poor girl would have been abused like that?

Ah yes - America… land of the free… unless you’re a woman or girl; a girl being forced into child marriage; a child or woman being forced to bear her rapist’s baby; a member of the LGBTQI community; a migrant; a black person; a student or teacher who wishes to be able to learn about real life topics that directly affect them; anyone who doesn’t want to get shot by some nutjob taking out their issues on innocent children & adults; anyone who isn’t a Christian Fascist and basically anyone who isn’t a wealthy white male 🤷‍♀️
