@Moonlighting-y1p She has a food addiction. To lose the majority of her weight she doesn’t even need to fast (not that that’s the healthiest way to lose weight anyway), just eat normal-sized meals & increase her activity. But she has to overcome her addiction first. And unlike with drugs or alcohol, she can’t completely abstain from eating.

Ah yes, because addicts are all completely innocent victims 🙄 Because she is a food addict. And she was addicted to food & used food to deal with her issues long before she became fully reliant on her mother. And if you’ve ever watched documentaries on these super obese people, you’ll see how many of them bully, manipulate, trick, lie & coerce others into giving them their drug of choice - food. So while there are enablers & there are definitely some people who prey upon people like this & “feed” them as a form of power & control, the majority are food addicts who will do anything for their fix 🤷‍♀️ But unlike with drugs & alcohol, they can’t just quit eating & drinking, so they constantly battle with their addiction, even more so than other addicts.

So easy to blame people when you don’t live in their shoes …/smh. Try watching some of the TV shows about people like this woman - the majority of the extremely obese are extremely good at bullying, browbeating, intimidating, harassing, pestering & forcing people to feed them what they want. Yes there are also people who deliberately feed the patient, but it’s extremely rarely against their will.

@selecttravelvacations7472 Except her lymphoedema IS most likely caused by her excess weight. That with the lack of physical activity & being bedbound would be the most likely cause of hers, particularly since she became extremely obese before becoming bedbound. There are other causes, but unlikely in her case. Not weight prejudice, just medical reality 🤷‍♀️
