I really feel for you. Healthcare is hugely stressful. And I hope you’ve found an identity away from it, because I know so many of us ARE healthcare workers. It’s not what we do, it’s who we are, and just like the social worker in this video, without an identity like that, we often don’t know who or how to live. The guy who became a builder is an excellent example of how important it is for us to find what we are supposed to be & happiest at, away from our original career.

Interesting perspective. But if they commit horrific crimes, then allowing them to feel empathy & feel remorse is more than reasonable. And is a form of therapy to help rehabilitate them, as if they remain a psychopath, there is no reason for them to change.

Not necessarily. For those of us who think murder is one of the worst crimes possible, then we’d have to generally work our way up to murder, unless there are exceptional circumstances. But for a psychopath who does not feel normally, it’s just another decision, like whether to buy a Coke or Lemonade. They don’t have the angst behind the decision that most people would do. They just get the urge to commit murder or it seems like a potential choice based on the circumstances & so they do.

Donald Trump is one of those functional psychopaths. He has absolutely no empathy whatsoever & he has raped, bragged about sexual assault, blackmailed people, no doubt paid or organised for people to be killed & committed numerous crimes. He’s a pathological liar & everything he does is to benefit himself, whether to feed his ego or his wallet. If only his followers truly realised what it is they worship & voted in as POTUS. We must be exceptionally grateful there are some checks & balances in place that prevented him from waging nuclear war on China or whoever else he wanted to attack while he had the power.

He has bribed, blackmailed & bought people. And the only things that stopped him starting a nuclear war or ordering the murder of various people, was the actions of some of the people around him who refused to do as he said. He tried to overturn a legally elected government FFS because it hurt his ego to lose an election. If only his followers realised they worship a psychopath. Mind you, they’d no doubt turn it around & say it’s a good thing so he can make tough decisions 🙄
