You haven't made a case, only a bold assertion.

You can't conclude that Starmer "only" wanted to be PM for any particular reason. That would be an argument from ignorance fallacy.

Which mistakes?

@helenheenan3447 I did join in and responded to you, but by demonstrating that Richard's arguments are fallacious (and therefore cannot be demonstrated as true), the comment was removed.

@billB101 Yeah I know. If people cared about truth, they'd question the claims being made. The arguments are neither sound nor valid and therefore the conclusions cannot be derived from them.

@robertmaitland8728 You said "what went wrong" in context of "make these mistakes". I'm asking you to clarify the mistakes you believe have been made, seemingly you cannot do that and instead deflect. What is a "Conservative" comment? I'm not a member of the Conservative party.

@helenheenan3447 These aren't ideas, they are fallacious arguments. If Richard wants to argue that politicians pursue office for certain reasons he is free to do so. Instead, he is saying that because he doesn't know why they pursue office, then it must be the case they are junkies. That is an argument from ignorance.

@billfromgermany I'm sorry you are incapable of clarifying your own claims. edit - I'm sorry the OP is incapable of clarifying the OP's claims. Clearly you don't know what mistakes the OP refers to, but why would you presume to?
