He cared enough to at least stand up to a stereotype in the show, which at least shows some devotion to the fans even if its not him specifically showing outright love, its a form of consideration, he could've been successful without doing that and instead it costed him the only potential success he had left going for him.

I'm not so sure Drake is as guilty as he's being made out to be, only one part of it was proven in court, and even that is so tame its not worth being cancelled over, and its not his fault if the girl doesn't disclose her actual age, its not the most upstanding thing but it shouldn't be something to cancel someone over.

@kenirainseeker539 You don't even know what he pleaded guilty for and he still has to plead guilty even if he wasn't aware of her age, he pleaded guilty for giving an underage girl alcohol, but it seems pretty reasonable to say he wasn't aware she was underage given everything, she admitted that the only thing that was real were the texts and they weren't what he pleaded guilty for. You can't claim someone is guilty of things he didn't plead to, and there are things about his plead that doesn't really allow you to call him a child predator, the texts from what I know had absolutely nothing to do with grooming.

@ThatBlueSkull Perhaps, but a Drake and Josh reboot would've likely been fairly successful given the nostalgia factor in the US, so long as the actors acted casually like their natural selves. But he cared least enough to botch his last chance at being on the upside of fame again, he was already at the bottom under most standards of his colleagues, the fact he was even content with his position enough to give them consideration shows less fear and more of a respect, remember that he really seriously wanted to and still does want to be friends with Josh and work with him, its like one of his dreams but he wasn't willing to take a dream compromised against those that have been there for him the most. Even the most cynical take can only say that he's aware that his Latin American fans are more important then anything else.

@4idenn And in some cases, like with MJ, they're so far dead and they're still promoted as a mutilator that they weren't all because everyone believed the liars, who are still alive, and the life of the family and associates are ruined by mere association but now the dead man can't even vindicate himself. It especially makes me mad when people say "why would they lie" as if people even need a reason to lie, and there are plenty of good ones you could have for famous people, most commonly being its stupid easy money. Or even simply clout, people treat other people as inherently good, usually if they're a woman. Which I ironically is the most sexist but often they also claim its fighting sexism and all that crap, and I have first hand experience with a lying woman making false accusations, my mother constantly accused my father of things because she was schizophrenic and bipolar, and it nearly costed him literally everything he held dear, including his kids, and I was lucky that she was just barely (and she wasn't barely crazy, she at one time threw plates at a wall out of nowhere and would force me and my siblings to watch a tv screen of static for a few hours, her crazy did show up in the wider formal world too) considered poor enough of a mother that I didn't end up with her. But she's a case of someone who is luckily only ignored because you can't believe a word she says, how much more for those who don't look nearly that crazy? It seriously pisses me off.

I'm rather convinced Drake is innocent of most of the things they are cancelling him for, something doesn't add up amongst the evidence and the girl making the accusations already said everything but the texts were false. And its pretty reasonable if he didn't know she was underage.

@4idenn Yeah, much like how people treat MJ as though he did something wrong when the evidence once again refutes that. Everyone sees a settle out of court or a plead guilty to something as a plead guilty to everything, but its innocent until proven guilty, (OF THE SPECIFIC CRIME) but everyone loves their shame culture that hates justice and loves unequal weights and measures. Its rare for man to be fair for justice anyway.

50 Cent is wrong, but what the hell do you expect from a single mother, its exceedingly rare for a single mother, especially one who hates her child's father, to not poison the relationship between father and son and screw up the son's entire perspective. 50 screwed up in many ways that contributed to bad son, but the mother and the son are just as responsible, obviously blame shouldn't be used to throw other's under the bus and refuse to deal with them, he should reign his temper and try to approach his son with repentance and forgiveness, but that doesn't mean what they did was any more justified. They are all equally deserving of being beat by an actual adult for being childish in some respect.

Given how Drake is acting, I feel like the accusations might be overblown, not that he's a good person and didn't do something wrong, but that I can bet it probably wasn't nearly bad enough as its being made out to and even more its likely not worth getting cancelled over. The fact Drake knows about all these things and still looks fondly on both his time in Drake and Josh and most especially on his time spent with Josh suggests that he's not nearly as depraved as is being claimed, maybe I'm interpreting details, maybe he's only acting kind to get into good graces with people or most especially to attempt a reconcile with Josh but I'm inclined to believe Drake, and with Josh outright lying in order to disassociate with him and clearly giving him much thought except when it looks good for him, that suggests Josh is acting more toxic. Again I might be interpreting things as I don't know them personally, I can only make assumptions of the psychology based on what I know or experienced, but Drake's open behavior even with all the backlash doesn't suggest he's what everyone claims him to be.

@wintergirll He was only convicted of giving an underage girl alcohol, and its fairly reasonable that he could be convicted without knowing her actual age. The girl had to retract every other claim and he wasn't convicted on anything else.

@matthewloma1215 The conviction as far as I know wasn't on the text, I would say its probably he was being convicted on it, but I do doubt the convict would be as clear cut as giving her alcohol would've been, (least with US law, its hard to nail it down texts as much as alcohol) but yeah it seems weirder only in the assumption that he knew her age, (and its not surprising in internet/texting era for girls to easily fake their age, even legit seeming fake ids are still trivial as hell to get) which from what we know he shouldn't have at the time, and since the girl retracted all the other claims aside from the texts, I'm way more willing to believe the him since he's shown a more legit character in everything else and didn't refute the whole of the situation.

Justice can't be blind if you do this, you are immoral by saying this. She gains clout and power by it, she also gains attention, something all young girls and even many women seek. If you think a woman wouldn't do anything to attention from someone you don't understand women. She could be convinced to say such things, or she could be lying, but that's not for us to decide, and its not like questing her accusations of being possibly or probably false doesn't mean we are treating her like crap. I was in this exact circumstance at one point, my mother accused my dad of many things for literally no reason, in her case she was sick in the head and gained nothing by it, and the courts still almost sided with her. You don't get to "trust women" just because they have boobs and a womb, they're just as human as men. "It's not like Drake Bell is some affluent celebrity who remains in the public eye." Presumption of innocence. Literal basic 101 of justice. You are a hypocrite, I could accuse you of abuse and so long as I'm a woman I'd have no questions against me in that worldview. You don't live in her head, false accusations aren't under scrutiny of motivation, they're under scrutiny because of the presumption of innocence. Else innocent people will be put in jail for crimes they did not commit. The basis of law is the Blackstone Ratio: "It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer." "Women he's dated going as far back as high school have spoken about how abusive he is with, again, no incensive except for public scrutiny and accusations of lying." Yet they never provided evidence and they have incentive to dogpile for attention. There are plenty of reasons they could but that's not the point, we don't ask whats the motive of the accuser, we ask whether what they accused happened. I hope you don't experience the dogpile of a woman accusing you or any of your loved ones of rape for no reason what so ever. Do you not think his exs wouldn't want to attack him and destroy him more if they didn't already despise him? Revenge is validation enough to destroy someones life to lots of people, you're doing it right now despite having no stake. Vengeance isn't yours, that view of your is what will condemn you to hell should you not repent.
