This ignores the inherent bias that has always come from interests targeting said fields, a big issue is that majority of the mediocre creative fields inherently attract leftism because of post-modernist relativism which you can get away with in such fields that you can't really get away with in a more objectively demonstrably field common to STEM. Its because of the lack of objectivity in liberal arts that enables a feminine attitude of obfuscated competition which attracts the less capable. (who often hide their incapability behind philosophy that enables them to claim a superior work to its actual value) A conservative's philosophy is inherently going to reject this outlook because they don't tend to believe in the concept of "eye of the beholder" (or if they do, it believes in a reflective value based on populism instead of an inherent assigned value to the work) which would cause in-addressable critique.

@bunzinthesun From my perspective software engineers with actual knowledge and experience tend to be highly libertarian, usually as a result of the economic models which often plays out a lot closer to how software actually works. The low level guys and guys that don't do much, or who don't have much knowledge and skill though, yeah they're all left wing liberals. (which is the majority of Silicon Valley hires)

@willguggn2 Just to point out anarchocapitalists are not remotely anarchists. (they don't use layman definitions for almost anything, the words they use have very little to do with what you think they saying) Also libertarianism as a political movement going back to the 40s has always been associated with the right wing, its generally been left wing and centrist politics that expanded the government.

There isn't a single one of them that won't call you racist for saying "its okay to be white" nor answer "what is a woman" without a diatribe about it being a complex question instead of giving a simple definition. That is a pretty good litmus test for political bias. As an aside I've always gotten hardline right libertarian, I always end up further right and libertarian of Milton Friedman in every test I do.
