  7. Nobody cares about another kernel, also still lacks ABI stability so it'll never get POSIX support and it can't support a Unix kernel. Its not even a potential thing, it is theoretically impossible for it as in accordance with Rust language developers and designers, Rust was not really developed with a consideration for the real world and its not the only systems programming language that carries its protections without a GC, its just the one with the most ravenous and easily offended fanbase.

  12.  @RenderingUser  None of them are ABI stable, so none of them are non-Rust usable libraries, they're all all end user programs or Rust-supporting libraries, no Rust library exists that can be used as a binding for other languages while maintaining the stability of C, that makes it useless for Unix infrastructure, and the Rust language devs refuse to cooperate on this, its so far considered theoritically impossible to accomplish this.

  13.  @corey__wm  Hopefully, I don't expect it to ever happen knowing the design and structure of Rust, its simply impossible, Rust really doesn't like keeping legacy ABI either, (unlike how C and C++ do things) so not only is it not stable, but it also pretty much violates legacy consistency, which makes it about as stable as experimental software, which is not something you want in a systems programming language that you expect to become the backbone of systems infrastructure.

  14.  @nullid1492  Yes it is, C has native dynamic linkage, Rust does not, that means that its not suitable except in replicating C, that's stupid, even C++ can do this without needing to replicate C. (it can do that too, but it does not need to)

  15.  @shurizzle  Yeah which makes it useless when you intend to distribute intermediary software on your own timeline or development process, or when you want your libraries to be otherwise independent. Also the C ABI is an after thought in Rust, its a hassle and Rust does not expect you to rely on it except in the attempt to subsume such into Rust in every case eventually. (which itself is impossible but yet expected with Rust, also there is no way to overcome the C ABI, any C replacement should be trying to supplant C, not hack it in a way that constantly breaks)

Bruh a judge already ruled against prosecution for Jan 6, when you open a door to a building willingly and let people in you don't get to then say permission of entry was forbidden, those people have been locked in solitary confinement for over a year without a trial, 95% of them never even did anything violently and merely happened to be in Washington DC on the January 6th, there were innocent bystanders sent to solitary confinement that didn't partake in anything.

I've long suspected that Rust is being funded and managed by background deals with globalist, Marxist, and other evil parties with a Marxist style newspeak for software development and control because it makes no sense for the Rust push to be this ravenous and obsessed despite its inability to do basic things, it would be impossible to integrate into the Linux infrastructure anyway because it can't actually even produce a stable ABI for dynamic linkage, meaning that you can say goodbye to literally every linux package manager if Rust was the basis of Linux infrastructure. Not that it can even get there since that would make gcc itself literally impossible to use.

  24.  @techpriest4787  Its possible to make it safe, Rust people are however just obsessed, both Zig and C3 are demonstrations of supporting C-familiarity trivially while also supporting the feature set of C in a safer language. Rust has no excuse to be in the kernel anyway, none of the safe features special to Rust can even be used in the kernel (least in a way that would be safer) and there are plenty of languages that are just as safe, as well Rust doesn't have ABI stability which is a problem.

We also openly proclaimed "we will not take any ideological positions as a project and will ban anyone who insists we do" and we have done just that. Its simply that the political leaning of the audience happens to be right-leaning most of the time, nobody enforced that, it naturally happened.

  26. Actually threatening people with violence and crime is a violation of the law as well, so if you are telling people to break the law then you are also breaking the law. Also if you scam someone by revoking something you previous gave them right to without legal justification, you are performing a scam and that is also illegal, if you don't refund them the price then you are also breaking the law. And if someone states something as a religious conviction, then it is discrimination to be intolerant towards that belief, it almost doesn't matter what it is, and religious intolerance overrules other forms of intolerance of the law, so if my religion requires I believe in man and woman as separate binaries, discriminating against that belief is also covered. There's more to this as well.

Quick correction I want to point out, interest in lolis does not inherently pertain to sexual interest at all, in this case it seems Drew's alleged interest in lolis certainly would, but interest in lolis is not necessarily a sexual thing, "particularly" is kind of the incorrect term, its more like "that could include sexually suggestive or erotic manner". This correction is important because it is quite common for someone to say they're a lolicon (interested in lolis) but despite having no sexual desire they get accosted as pedophiles, it creates undue animosity between the weeb (those who are interested in Japanese culture) communities and more regular people.

  30.  @techpriest4787  Torvalds has experience in kernels, but he has no knowledge, practical or theoretical on languages and compilers whatsoever and he's arrogant thinking he knows better then people who do know better then him. Practical experience only works per field, not on things that supersede your field like language development and compilers, I know more about both subjects then Torvalds does, being an expert in one field (kernel development) does not make you an expert in anything else. (compilers and binaries) This is appeal to authority fallacy anyway.

Microsoft failed specifically because it disregarded users and browser function, Chrome took over because it focused on that at the time, all so it could adopt Microsoft's EEE which Microsoft itself used to kill Netscape. That's generally been the cycle of browsers, make a superior browser by focusing on users and browser function, make it so good that you become the dominant one (even with help like with MS having Windows, the primary reason it stayed relevant was because of that) and then through EEE you force your competition to comply with your demands and eventually kill them until you kill yourself and ruin the market, everyone seems to forget that before IE6, internet explorer was the standard for web browsers, in order to be considered competition you had to go against it, Mozilla rarely counted.

IP Law is a scourge against liberty, (and if you're a Christian or a Jew it also violates God's Law) I say that as an small government advocate, (the term Intellectual Property was originally used to be a pejorative used by its opponents for fear that it would make ideas into "intellectual property", it was not considered a good thing to be that) it is intended to create monopolies and to destroy competition, I don't find how you can prove an idea has any ownership, it has no attribute of physical property necessary to demonstrate one has ownership, it requires government intervention and the government will always presume guilt without needing to prove your act was guilty nor having to demonstrate an inherent capacity to do so, mere similarity is enough to determine guilt which violates the presumption of innocence. Rights are not granted by government, anything that is a right must be evident to pre-exist government, all government does is ensure the upholding of these pre-existing rights, not the establishment of them (regardless of what the US Congress wants to say) which the Constitution itself affirms. If you need government involved for a right to exist then its not a right, and there is no right to be provided in capability or opportunity, merely the lack of interference, that's what a right is, a lack of interference, not an active protection. When a government upholds a right they are either preventing or correcting a violation of interference on the individual that is or had already taken place, that requires an existing act of violation on the person themselves.

  43.  @PetraleiTanyl  They can and do produce ABI stable binaries (something Rust can't do) and they can produce compatible ABI stability on the same architecture and platforms, C is capable to do this where as Rust cannot. All usable C standard libraries are legacy stable, Rust also does not have this, it is incapable of doing this.

That's just behavior that's closer to assembly though, C as a language is really close to assembly and in that sense is a lot less complicated syntactically.

(and those aren't the only features of Circle btw) The CWG already approved it for consideration which puts it ahead of many other experimental proposals too.
