He focused on porn, there was no actual addressing of masturbation, (and really only a simple definition of the objective our brains desire for sex itself and how it goes about it) porn has no positive effects for the brain, sex and masturbation can, however there are also caveats to those, for example its unwise (especially for women) to be sexually promiscuous (or in fact sexually bond and then break said bond) as it reduces the ability to pair bond and harms your ability to keep empathy and cherish close bonds (yes, including non-sexual ones) which is especially dangerous for women. There have been no studies on the positive effects of masturbation meaning we can only guess the effects, which tbh I'm not really sure what the positive or negative effects are. When we get some actual studies on the subject that actually focus on masturbation then perhaps said concepts can be discussed.
