W Clark -- Death Panel? Not in Canada
4
2 Pump jump -- who asked you to be the world's police??
4
J Pol -- the only correct statement, in the above paragraph, is your last one. Do more research before commenting, please.
2
J Pol -- I live in Calgary. Your statement on wait times is outdated; ergo, incorrect. I required quarterly MRIs, now twice yearly. Never an issue getting one
2
Paupa -- so many inaccuracies in your diatiribe, or is it a phd thesis? I don't know where to begin. I live in Alberta, with a serious medical condition. MRIs, surgery, were NEVER an issue. And I had the best doctor in the field in western Canada.
2
yes bob, this sparsely populated yet resource rich country, is better in so many ways....so yeah, no comparison XD
2
Susie Q -- understood. And thanks for clarifying... both of your well informed responses, upvoted!
2
Terry -- unfortunately, Wise Beard was not "wright" (??) about Bernie.
2
AOFarenheit -- same situation here, in Alberta
2
months of wait time are lies
2
Nite Owl -- wow. Sounds like you're an Albertan AISH recipient. Sunny Ways and no worries, eh?
1
Maven/Rose -- yes each province funds its' healthcare; however, the federal government also contributes healthcare dollars to each province. Also, certain standards are expected to be met and maintained across the whole country, in an attempt to make all provinces "equal" in treatment.
1
Dana -- a dagger in your foot? what kind of bowling do you take part in??
1
J Pol -- untrue
1
that person's spelling/grammar were as bad as his "superior american healthcare". I believe he meant 'pre-existing condition'.
1
Juan -- outdated analysis. At one time, in booming Calgary, it was tough finding a doctor, waiting a couple weeks for an appointment. Not any longer. Next day family doc visits. And as for your racist comment... with a name like Juan Eduardo, you should know better!
1
Matt Biden -- you have made several statements (even a racist one)... time to link the sources for your BS
1
Matt -- once again, false comparison. Canada does have a triage system, like anywhere else, the sickest/most injured patients go first. Doctors/tech are the same in both countries... Canadian resident phd's are being recruited, by American hospitals, while they are still doing their resident time.
1
Matt, Matt, Matt -- another set of incredulous statements... LINK 'em, bitch
1
France -- prove it. Link??
1
Matt Biden -- you clearly do not understand the 'Canadian system'
1
ut ck -- any proof that it's Bullshit? Links??
1
great! as long as you can get yourself to the clinic through all the military battles
1
CJ -- all good points except the one about "the government pays us back...". Obviously you don't understand income taxes.
1
J Pol -- once again: Link?
1
FukU -- "I (you) suggest working a bit harder,". Come on man, you're from NL, you only have to work 10 weeks for EI
1
M Macmillan -- yeah, right...
1
Fuk YOU -- no evidence for your belief, so you dive deep into a conspiracy? So Sad
1
I could not agree more with your statements; however, what do said statements have to do with the above vid re: Canadian vs American health care?
1
Gh(letterspew) -- "a lot of people from canada,". No, not a lot. Some, and that is actually reversing, as now Americans who cannot afford to be sick in the US are coming to Canada for treatment
1
Paupa -- more ignorance and ill informed opinions
1
MrLumbee1971 -- Medicaid/Medicare are for the elderly and poor
1
Don't Bet on it -- J Pol may work for health/pharma, I don't know. I DO know he has made many incorrect/inaccurate statements throughout this thread... pay him very little mind
1
Karen -- good for you! Unfortunately, pharmacare will bankrupt any province/country that institutes it. Saskatchewan, the Canadian birthplace for Universal Health Care, used to have pharmacare, and eventually eliminated it.
1
Vicki -- the "Don't get sick in America." statement is made to make a point, about cost of care in that country.
