  9. wonder why the US pays 18% of their GDP to healthcare while in the EU we pay 9% of our GDP to healthcare? our care is generally the same/slightly superior despite paying half what you pay per capita thats the beautiful advantage of cutting down administration and middle management and the boot in efficiency from better resource management and price leverage over providers

  18.  @gagewesterhouse9558  there has never been a true socialist state, some say the paris commune came close but they where short lived, venezuela has 70% of its economy in the private sector and 80% of workers are in the private sector, i would say that venezuela is closer to state capitalism like what china has either way its autoritarian and thats the biggest issue

ONLY if its democratic!! if the government does not represent the people then it cant indirectly have the people own the means of production

  28. the reason we have a low corporate tax is because we make up for it with out high VAT, its more friendly to small businesses but generates a lot more revenue for the government than a corporate tax

  29. not necessarily, if i make 10 units of money and then pay 4 of that for healthcare insurance i only have 6 to spend but if i make 10 units of money but 2 of those units are taxed and used to pay for universal healthcare i have 8 units of money to spend

  33. 1. things scale 2. you say that but you guys send 18% of your GDP on healthcare while we only use 8% 3. quality of life is more important than filling the pockets of the rich so they can get an extra mansion 3,5. danes usually pay about 38-39% tax and the VAT which compensate for out low corporate tax is 25% 4. you are thinking of norway, and norway solved that use by putting the money into a fund, they could run out tomorrow and the fund would keep doing its thing for hypothetically ever, but more realistically 60-80 years, by then they can drop their dependence on it 4,5. counting just the social democracies in the EU, not europe but the EU, they tally up more than 300 million citizens 5. thats not an argument

  41. thats because its regulated capitalism wait? how can regulating a market make it more free? because oppression can not just come from states, but corporations can be oppressors on the market, we have very strong unions, we keep the market free of corruption and monopolies no one denies that denmark is a market economy (ok almost no one, loads of neoliberals on twitter say denmark is marxist and whatever)
