2

2
sure but he wont have the facts to back him
2
denmark has a military and very good diplomacy and alliances, they and europe could pull through without the US
1
denmark is a social democracy, the dude is from the social democrat party in recent years socialism has lost all meaning if i bring up social democratic policies both the left and right call it socialism so its clear that in the US "socialism" is very different from what europens call "socialism"
1
its a social democracy, we know, the danish politician is in the socialdemocrat party
1
well venezuela is a authoritarian regime, i imagine thats whats using all the tax revenue
1
@gagewesterhouse9558 we know, we are a social democracy, venezuela isnt socialist either the dude is even from the social democrat party
1
@gagewesterhouse9558 there has never been a true socialist state, some say the paris commune came close but they where short lived, venezuela has 70% of its economy in the private sector and 80% of workers are in the private sector, i would say that venezuela is closer to state capitalism like what china has either way its autoritarian and thats the biggest issue
1
@gagewesterhouse9558 socialism is the people owning the means of production if the state owns the means of production then yes, its socialism because the people indirectly own the means of production... ONLY if its democratic!! if the government does not represent the people then it cant indirectly have the people own the means of production
1
@gagewesterhouse9558 you cant own capital "thru the state" if the state is not made up of the people if i own everything but i dont listen to what anyone says, then im just a business owner because there is no shared ownership, there is just by ownership, i was not elected, i not represent anyone but myself
1
@gagewesterhouse9558 is a dictatorship a democracy? no its not socialism if its not the society that owns the means of production
1
@gagewesterhouse9558 as long as the system has no way for the people to be represented call it what you will, dictatorship, oligarchy, monarchy or simply an authoritarian regime, as long as the people are not in direct or indirect control of the means of production, then its not socialism
1
@gagewesterhouse9558 i would be very willing to contact you somewhere where communication is easier like facebook if you have more questions about it
1
they do both though, but go off i guess
1
we are among the top at dealing with it, lmao
1
its a social democracy
1
yes! we get it, we are a social democracy, amricans just call it socialism
1
the reason we have a low corporate tax is because we make up for it with out high VAT, its more friendly to small businesses but generates a lot more revenue for the government than a corporate tax
1
yes vote bernie2020
1
@DRake-jt2zs social democracy is exactly what bernie has been fighting for his whole career
1
1. things scale 2. you say that but you guys send 18% of your GDP on healthcare while we only use 8% 3. quality of life is more important than filling the pockets of the rich so they can get an extra mansion 3,5. danes usually pay about 38-39% tax and the VAT which compensate for out low corporate tax is 25% 4. you are thinking of norway, and norway solved that use by putting the money into a fund, they could run out tomorrow and the fund would keep doing its thing for hypothetically ever, but more realistically 60-80 years, by then they can drop their dependence on it 4,5. counting just the social democracies in the EU, not europe but the EU, they tally up more than 300 million citizens 5. thats not an argument
1
no its not that, its that they REFUSE to acknowledge that it could possibly have any part that even resembles being problematic, but when they do, they blame it on socialism of course
1
not at all, we dont need you
1
@8bitcoffee364 its not just the left that claims they are socialist, if you bring up one of their policies EVERYONE on the right will say its socialist it sees like all americans have a bad sense of what socialism actually is
1
not true at all
1
thats because its regulated capitalism wait? how can regulating a market make it more free? because oppression can not just come from states, but corporations can be oppressors on the market, we have very strong unions, we keep the market free of corruption and monopolies no one denies that denmark is a market economy (ok almost no one, loads of neoliberals on twitter say denmark is marxist and whatever)
1
a greater nation than the US which has similar policies to those bernie seeks to implement bernie 2020
1
its what the US calls socialism
1
@castellan4233 a representative democracy is still a form of democracy republic and democracy are not mutually exclusive
1
internally we can hate each other for sure, but when external places like the US are in the equation that stops
1
speaking of which we have more start ups per capit
1
denmark is a social democracy which is sort of like what bernie is fighting to implement
