Give it till tomorrow to see how often it jams

There's so little known about which lowers that MDP-9 upper will take, whether an AR9 mag adapter will work, and which components are from a standard AR (the barrel is from an MP5)

Needs an extended mag, underfoldng brace, and a plate of burek

I love this lower. With median nerve damage (unable to pull a 5lb trigger with my RH index finger), it allows me to operate a carbine with both shoulders. My two concerns with this product are: 1) the poorly designed grip; your hand naturally wants to choke high on it but this results in poor/inconsistent thumb placement every time your present the weapon. ie what's needed is a Houge-esque indentation to place the grip every time, and 2) the safety switch is a slide design (not everyone has a digit or enough dexterity to operate it with such fine motor movement), ie there's a reason our home lights + fighter pilot switches are designed to be actuated with the knuckle and not the tip of their finger. Even the AR safety switch uses a knuckle swipe to actuate.

@printingwithpeek4897 1) No, the bolt is most certainly not from the MP5, a review was recently posted comparing the differences between the two and this bolt is very different in shape/size. Look it up when you have the time 2) Given that this UDP-9 lower uses particular trigger packs (as Ian mentioned), it tells me that not all 'standard AR9 lowers' will mesh with the upper. Even the staff at Angstadt said they could only confirm a small handful of lowers that would work on it, and they plan on getting that list updated in the months to come

SageDynamics too does a 'burn it down' stage in firearm/suppressor reviews where he shoots 1000rds for testing
2
Do they allow for handicaps ie nerve damage in the index finger that prevents one-handed or weak-handed shooting?

@ForgottenWeapons The complete upper is around $1500 -hits your wallet less when you sign up for a new credit card and get $600 rewards bucks back (I wouldn't have bought the upper otherwise)

Any way to purchase a modern copy of this with a more affordable price tag?

@printingwithpeek4897 First you say the bolt is an MP5 part, now you're saying it's the same outer dimensions. Your newest update does not address my post about which components are interchangeable (AR or otherwise). Go on Military Arms Channel, find the video about the MDP-9, and go to the 12:00 timestamp to see the differences

@0Asterite0 The ejector is built into the EndoMag magazine, so how does it work alongside the MDP9 upper? And I heard that the magzines have plastic clamps at the top (instead of metal, like a 556 mag) that loosen/warp over several hundred rounds.

They've done so little testing that there're only a small handful of lowers they say will work with the upper -to my knowledge, no non-Glock ones have been green lit

@printingwithpeek4897 < someone has not watched the five recent MDP-9 reviews huh But really, we're all asking that same question -three years on pause and what improvements did they make as a result? There were quality control issues that a reviewer noticed within the first week the MDP9 was sent out

It may slide if the bolts come loose

Might work better with a holographic sight ?
