@peterpauloreilly4993 yeah but imo there were infinitely more problems before VAR, it's just that many of us didn't notice all the poor refereeing decisions that went under the radar. I can think of 3 or 4 situations in the world cup where I really think there should've been a different decision (Mitrovic getting tackled by 2 Swiss players in the box and no penalty, and Boateng not getting sent off for fouling Berg against Sweden come to mind especially, maybe others in the final where I thought both the free kick and the penalty for France were contentious), but other than that it worked exceptionally well.
