yeah, I agree. I'm not an artist myself, but artists are generally also reluctant to use AI as a tool because it takes the joy out of their creative process. That's the big caveat with AI imo. I think the potential benefits of creating art on the trot for free or basically nothing compared to what you'd have to pay to an actual artist are amazing for small developers who would otherwise not have the money to bring their project to fruition. I welcome that, because otherwise, my hobby project for game creation would never see the day of light - AI art was the last piece of the puzzle to make any of it possible. I'd still prefer to pay an actual artist for many reasons, but AI now is an alternative which doesn't suck and is actually decent. But yeah, what it will mean for our creativity and the way we see art is different gravy. AI will fundamentally change our world in general. Remains to be seen if for the better or for the worse overall. Seems like it will be both in some ways.
