so these cars that are hybrids they run on battery for like 25 miles before they turn on the engine, or sometimes it will turn on the engine say you are passing someone, that is bad for the engine? or since the engine doesnt run as much as a regular ice car it will not wear and tear as fast. also a lot of newer cars will turn off the engine when you are at a stop light then turn back on when you go, but I think not only is that bad for the engine its bad for the battery especially if you are driving in congested city traffic

the only problem I see with my Mazda at least is that its always the same cylinders that are running or get deactivated. wont that cause uneven wear in the cylinders? should like alternate them evenly for more uniform wear edit: never mind the pistons continue
