He didnt make any money on the movie Titanic movie, he went over budget and he sacrificed residuals for what the movie would make in the theaters and back then DVD/VCR Casstte sales, and even gave the studio back his paycheck, so he could get the extra money to finish teh movie, thats how dedicated he is to making a good movie
