3:25 Luke: "3dfx were 3D only" Also Luke: shows a Rush which is a 2-in-1 solution for having both 2D and 3D as one card... 5:13 Now that was a great card. The Ti200 was the slowest of the series, but you could usually OC them easily to the Ti500 top tier clocks, which I did as well. Imagine buying a 3060 and having it deliver 3090 performance... although the performance difference between the models wasn't that huge back then, it was still a considerable gain.

Had a Monster 3D and my brother later had a V3 3k. Still have both cards around. The first one was an absolute game changer. You literally went from 320x200 on software renderer without even having any kind of texture filters, running at like 10-15fps up to 512x384 or even 640x480 with smooth textures, reflections, speculars, volumetric lights and stuff, running at 30+fps on the same rig. I could enjoy Unreal rather smoothly on a P133 with that card while my brother's 200 MMX rig with a Mystique (he preferred to get that for graphical art stuff) was struggling really hard. That felt like going from an Intel onboard quote-unquote GPU to an actual GPU nowadays...
