All the deals that came thereafter had been less advantageous for them, so they shouldn't have pulled the hatred card in the first place mayhaps and could have been well off with like 80% of the territory... but they're like Pooden and demand the whole thing, unnegotiatable.

There's been bomb alerts at a school there last year with a claim of responsibility from Palstinian Arabs a few days after the HAMAS terror act on Oct 7. Also, there's a significant presence of salafists in the city that's been under observation AFAIK.
