Same in Germany... where I live half of the main street's shops are empty and there's basically two almost completely abandoned malls for over a decade (though that is due to them building a new one when the old isn't good enough and we're at the third right now that isn't any better either, the others bought by investors, probably to keep them empty)... haven't been out much since "the royna", but I can only guess it got even worse. In my vicinity like 80% of the hair cutters are just gone as well thanks to the pandemic.

@alicjagodlewska1059 True to be fair. In "the west", this happens because of complete utter greed (= not worth for the company to run a certain subsidiary if it doesn't exceed some statistically set ROI, i other words they do still generate profit, but not enough) instead of getting banned or getting pulled out.
