  3. The real reason why American trucks aren't cabovers is the balls of the driver have to go somewhere, so they had to move the whole engine compartment somewhere else. Meanwhile, trucking in the EU literally is slavery where one giant company in the wealthier countries is employing the cheapest workforce they can get through sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub companies, mostly from Eastern Europe or even non-EU countries, while totally crapping on all the laws, rules and regulations as much as possible while paying ultra low wages that still seem stellar in the countries where those drivers come from. Also, those people have to work hard outside of the actual trucking, they aren't just drivers...

  4. Trucks in the EU literally must have limiters installed that prevent them from accelerating past 90km/h. In most countries you're even just allowed to go 80.

  5. Kasseler Berge? Laughs on "Katzenbuckel" aka Elzer Berg on the A3 where there literally was a speed limit of just 40km/h on the rightmost lane until 2009 which then has been increased to 60km/h - just because of the trucks. Best place for a so called "elephant race" when another truck tries to overtake someone just doing 25-30 on that lane with a delta of just 5 or 10km/h and you only got the leftmost lane for actual Autobahn speeds in your car...
