  3.  @Caseytify  Yes, I agree, you are missing my point by even confirming my statement ;). I literally wrote that the 117 would be operating at night and the 51, obviously as a day fighter would have a hard time, if the 117 even would remotely consider fighting at all. The whole point of my post was to state that this "dogfight" would never happen, because it's just pointless for various reasons. The 117 can't really fight back anyway and it's able to dictate the fight by simply just leaving.

I just saw that title and it had me almost burst out my coffee all over the screen! :D Good luck to that Mustang driver to find one of those operating at night at high altitude or even just catching it... if the 117 pilot wasn't completely dumb or mental, he just wouldn't even enter a dogfight anyway^^
