Conscious breathing is vital, it's a core part of most relaxation techniques, and especially box breathing helps calming yourself down. I've seen that movie as well with PTSD, SAD and depression. Get into therapy, find and cope with the root cause, do the relaxation thingies and find out what works best for you. And most importantly, keep talking about it, it's the best relief. With all that, you're ready to face the fear. You don't have anxiety - anxiety has you! (still working on that part myself and it gets really nasty sometimes if psychosomatic reactions are involved that might hamper you)
