  1. This is one of the reasons why I love the EU. Driving things forward like this, or the banning of classic light bulbs, the USB-C thing on phones or, in the near future, enforcing removable batteries in those as well. But before I watched the video and didn't know what it was about I thought this: I've heard US Americans and even Canadians praise the fries at "The Golden Gull" a lot. Really a lot. When I'm going to "Mäcces", which rarely happens (last time was in Dec 2019...), I never take the ordinary fries because those are quite literally the worst you could possibly get, we do like to call them "Fresspappe" over here, which roughly translates as "cardboard for devouring". Anywhere. Just take the curly ones, the grid potatoes or the wedges. Night and Day difference, those are great! But coming to the point, if somewhere, anywhere in the world thinks that McD's fries are the best, they either have absolutely no taste or all the others available in their region are even morer worser (aka baderer), which is totally unfathomable for me. PS: I've been to a Golden Gull in France just once and was really baffled by the fact they do have table service over there. We ordered stuff and didn't have to come pick it up, they came and brought it to us! Loved it! PPS: I love it when you just get the cup for the beverage and you need to take it from the machine yourself. Seen that in Switzerland, but allegedly it's like that in some German ones as well. Makes it possible to create an awesome Spezi-like mix. Try something like 10% Fanta Orange, 20% Sprite and 70% Coke. I'm baffled they don't sell that mixture, it's just so much better than any of those on their own. And a LOT better than Mezzo-Mix which they do sell in Germany, which is basically 50:50 Fanta-Coke IIRC.
