  10. Most probably Motocross Madness which came with it. I also played a lot of space sims (those X-Wing/TIE Fighter series and Freespace mostly) with it which was absolutely great and still have the thing. In fact, when Elite Dangerous was launched, I dusted mine off and tried it there, but I noticed that E:D really needs both roll and yaw axes, unlike many older space sims, so I went with the Precision 2 instead as I was too lazy to set up my whole HOTAS setup for E:D that I use to fly DCS and other sims with :D

  13. I somehow never watched this, but now got it recommended for some reason while watching Quest Pro reviews. Been using it since May 2020 and it's great. I even have the Quest 2 laying around collecting dust because of controller drift while I still play on the OG Quest... and NGL, the colours are so much better! 0:09 WMR isn't dead, it keeps dying over and over again. 1:09 I'm dying! 2:09 That's a fricken htc VIVE! 3:17 Had me in stitches!   19. How do I even get into the browser? I mean, it has been removed completely with the big visual overhaul that makes it look like SteamOS. Am I missing something? Also, there's still no tabs when browsing in the Steam client itself.

  22. 1:21 Might have needed that! Have to run 3 7 port USB externals (=extra cost, and well, one of them has 3 charge-only ports) not having to un- and replug things constantly. Modern boards and also cases have a way to little amount of type A ports nowadays, which sucks. I had a total of 16 on my old rig (8 on the back, 2 on U3S6, 6 on the case front), where I constantly had to swap, and I literally downgraded to just a little more than half of that (7 on the back, 2 on the case front). Now I'm having to run external hubs with cheap Chinese power bricks that have clearly audible coil whining when nothing is drawing power from them (just like DELL and HP laptopt power bricks do BTW)... at least I can switch each port on/off now separately, which is cool - but those things have to be somewhere *coughcablcoughmanagcoughmentcough* - I mean, I'm fine with my setup and thinking of it, having those switches is better than plugging and unplugging my flight sim input devices all the time.

(I just have the old XBox One controller with the big dongle that came with the CV1) How about bringing back that stick with moar buttons and hats? The world is in dire need of Force Feedback sticks.

I'd highly appreciate if you could get your hands on a late 486 rig with a VFX-1 headset though and play some Duke3d, Jedi Knight II, Comanche 3, Descent, Jane's ATF, EF2000, Magic Carpet, Mech Warrior 2 and other cool stuff in VR. That thing was out around the same time and much more sophisticated.

Actually that thing made me want to see more keyboards like the good old Art Lebedev Optimus with those screens inside each key to make customizing the thing a breeze. Plus these could actually display all kinds of ponies instead of just being RGB ;) - too bad the Art Lebedev things are so expensive... that idea just rocks.

  34. Those Volta cables look exactly like the ones I have, just without the branding and a slightly different rubber around where the cable runs into the plugs. They were 7.99€ a piece and came with 3 tips (microUSB, USB C and Lightning) each. Those are $31 AU which roughly is 20€ before tax and import fees. And since I built a new rig that doesn't suck, I'd let others have it. I just need a 3080 or better... my G2 is VERY demanding and a 1080 doesn't cut it :D Anyway, at this point I guess the real prize is getting some quality time with Linus and probably others of LMG.

  40. On the pro side, it still works great with DCS and Il-2 GB, even after having used it almost every day for almost two decades. That thing is rock solid and still the best FFB device out there. It's a bloody shame that Microsoft themselves don't support it with their most recent FS.

  41. That sucks. My FFB2 still works after 18 years of nearly daily usage... I tend to say it's even worth all the money they want for it on eBay nowadays, and I've seen them within the 100-200 bucks range in the past.

Got it because of 5.1. Teufel Concept E Magnum still kicks ass. That thing was a blatant steal back in the mid 2000s.

  47. 0:15 Just left of Linus, just above that IVAN tag, that is a Chieftec CS-601. One of the best cases ever made. Bought my first one in 2003. Hard to believe it's part of a planned project (as of Dec 2018). I mean, those are literally outdated nowadays with just 4 80mm fan slots alone. Back in the day that case was absolutely legendary though and I still have a 2009 955/8g/6950-2g rig with a 240gig Force GT in one of those. Anthony has some cool stuff there. Hope anything that didn't fit went to LGR though... BTW I can't keep my eyes off that Rift... still running one myself :D 9:54 Nice.
