  2. 0:01 You can possibly only be talking about 𝕏itter (IPA: /ʃɪt.ə(ɹ)/)! 0:12 Oh, well. Not great either, but could have been worse. 0:14 It's gone BTW. That post doesn't exist anymore... 2:22 I can tell you exactly what's wrong with Google. They keep autoserving 4k, regardless of the target device's capabilities. And there's no single option anywhere in the YT prefs where you could limit that. You literally have to reduce it manually on every single *bleeping* video you watch. Well, unless you happen to be one of those 0.5% of Firefox users and one of the tiny fraction of those that have the YouTube HD addon installed which lets you do this, because Google is either *bleeping* incapable or *bleeping* unwilling to implement such a feature into their "web app". BTW, spoiler alert: YT once had that, ages ago... probably like 10+ years in the past already. I can clearly remember having it set to 1080 max in a former life. It was right there. WAS! Now, as of today, I can pull up my old Samsung Galaxy S3 and watch autoserved 4k on a 720p screen, isn't that great? Pro tip for Google: Detect screen res (it's *bleeping* easy with JavaScript!) and set the video res accordingly AND give the users a way to set a default value INSTEAD if they prefer. Also, I'm totally with Linus on that one: Make 4k a paid option, like 5 or 10 bucks extra a month. ALSO: Bring back an option to step back to 30fps at 1080p or higher. Why? To save YOU guys bandwidth, and actual money, to make the whole platform economically more viable. Please, just please, be reasonable and do the right thing. No need to hunt a less than promille fraction of adblock users down. It will only get you negative attention, but very little nickel and dime from the couch. 4:25 Google, please listen to this guy right here. He does have an absolute valid point. 9:30 Literally the opposite of a Millennial Pause happening right here XD
