  1. Absolutely agree, and the cherry that sits on the icing of the cake is the fact that they speak of "denazification"... of course there's also differences, but the parallels are just baffling. It's like the saying goes, "if you point your finger at someone, there's three fingers pointing back at yourself", in other words, if there's a country that needs "denazification", it'd actually be Russia with their chekist gov't and the heavy NOD (those are the Ribbon of Saint George coloured Z and V guys) influence on them. There's a term describing it, it's called "rashism" (Raschismus) or "ruscism", formed out of Russia and fascism. I guess the main difference is that the Nazis were getting into power by brute presence of force (SA) prior to getting elected during the 20s while Putin was nominated by Yeltsin and elected by the people and slowly, but gradually changed the system more and more into an authoritarian state over a long period of time in which he got lots of trust from the people and also returned the military and the past with the victory over Nazi Germany to the civil presence (by returning the "good old" Alexandrov hymn with new lyrics, reestablishing the military paraded on the Red Square and even having children being taught early in life how important their victory over the Nazis is) within the first phase (1999/2000 - 2008), then trying to stabilize himself against any potential political opposition with the help of the FSB and police (2008 - 2014 and on) and trying to - as the party's name points out - reunite the Russia that the flag represents, consisting of Russia (red), Ukraine (blue) and Belarus (white), at first with as little military effort as needed, and as of recently increasing pressure a lot to get it done finally (2014 - now, ongoing). And we all have heard that he'd prefer to have NATO borders back to pre-1997 state, which basically means as during the cold war, only with the two Germanys united. Also, one major difference, of course is that he doesn't blame the Jews for all the bad things happening to Russia. In other words, he basically could be compared to any dictator in history in some way, and certainly be compared to Stalin as well who wasn't the nicest leader on the planet either. Long story short, any leader with such an imperialistic, expansive and power hungry world view isn't healthy at all for all the parties involved, that are the country that he is leading itself, the neighbours that are basically at stake and 3rd party countries that are affected globally by the economic unrest, which mainly are 3rd world countries that heavily rely on food supply, in this very case from Ukraine, who made up around 30% of the worldwide wheat exports. The things that are going on right now are affecting everyone on the entire planet, more or less. And Putin knows that, he literally plays that card.
