@ToxicFarm Italians don't have a goulash, but the closest (sort of) is the southern Italy ragu meat sauces. Depending on where in the south you live, it is made with a variety of meat chunks (pork, beef, veal) sauteed with onions, carrots, sometimes celery, then they put in some red wine, then they add tomato puree - they bring to a boil, then lower the flame and cook for about 3 hours. When serving, they remove the chunks of meat and add some of the sauce over it. The rest of the sauce is used to coat pasta. You can put some of the meat in your pasta dish or eat them separately. Not a soup, but it's a delicious experience!
