  5.  @Cousinbiddy1  he's not a minor - 18 is legally an adult, but in the U.S. there is also a drinking age law and that is 21. But more importantly, the kid was NOT arrested because he was under the drinking age and drinking. He was arrested because: 1. he gave the cops a false statement about his identity; and 2. he attempted to flee, which is called "resisting arrest." If he had told the truth, he would have been given a citation and told to be careful. Instead he chose to lie and attempted to flee and got himself arrested for these reasons. The cops questioned others there that day and those other kids all told the truth and did not resist or flee, so they just got a citation and all was well.
