@aerystargaryenii2565 What kind of "real history" do you think they are trying to make us face? Jesus was never white or Roman because Jesus was a Jew. Throughout history, going back to ancient times, there have been artistic renditions of Jesus in all different races. That's because all cultures, over the course of 2000 years, painted Jesus in accordance with their own image. So Christian Europeans made Jesus look European, Christian Africans painted him to look African, Christian Chinese made Jesus look Chinese, and Christian Native Americans painted Jesus to look more like a native American - and so on and so forth. There are literally thousands of ancient paintings and statues of the black Madonna and child scattered in churches all over the world (ESPECIALLY in Europe - the bulk of which are in Spain, France, Germany, and Italy). They were mostly acquired through trade. But Jesus and Mary were no more black than they were European, or Chinese, or Native American, etc. When I lived in Italy and I entered a church with a painting of a black Jesus or a black Madonna, to me they were just the holy representations of Christ and the Madonna, just like the more European looking paintings and statues. My favorite however, (artistically) were the Byzantine paintings of Christ and the Madonna. Byzantium was in present day Turkey so their representations of these figures looked darker in skin tone - much closer to the skin tone that a Jew in antiquity might have had. But who cares really. All these artistic expressions just prove that Jesus is for everyone. And I like that.
