There are no minorities in America. "Minorities" is a nomenclature advanced by the democrats to keep "people" separate (blacks, latinos, LGBTQ, women, etc.) They make it seem as if they advance unity when all they are really doing is reinforcing division. They corral these people into separate groups and brand them victims so that they can appear as their saviors. Why? It would mean they would have to gain votes the hard way - individual by individual (more difficult) rather than gaining votes easily by brainwashing entire groups of people. It's why they need to keep these people mentally enslaved to them. Kanye West may have emotional issues he needs to work through but he was totally right about the mental slavery the democrat party has caused in people. @IkBenDigio First of all - I'm a historian so I have a leg up on the average person when it comes to research. Secondly, the woman in the video is a political science and law professor in an accredited college - I trust her knowledge over the average person. Thirdly, I actually like the idea about "mostly for the rich and by the rich" - that actually encourages people at large to work hard and succeed - the way it did my forefathers (my dad included) - who came to America with pennies in their pockets, worked their asses off and created their own wealth. This mindset teaches people, "if they can, so can I." What I will fight tooth and nail against is socialism - this encourages LAZINESS in people - it teaches people to rely wholly on papa government officials to pamper them and do everything for them to make sure they are okay. The democrat party is about as big as government should ever be allowed to get and even that is too big for me - both ideologies are disgusting enough. Put them together - they are a disasterous slippery slope. Especially since government CAN'T EVER take care of millions of people as if they are their children. They are trying to create an illusive utopia. History has taught us enough about the failure socialist ideology.

@IkBenDigio I think both parties need to be left and right of center. America needs to be a two-party country. If it becomes a one-party country it becomes a dictatorship. And wage growth has been flat since 1970 - until now... Anyone who denies this is just trying to advance a partisan argument and is going out of their way to brainwash their constituents to that end. The numbers are what you need to focus on.

@IkBenDigio the way I see it, capitalism is the most natural human form of government. It works until it becomes corrupt. It becomes corrupt because humans are not by their very nature, equal. Some are tall, some are short; some are fat, some are thin; some are very smart, some are completely stupid. But the minute a country legislates equality it self destructs (as we have seen time and again). It is humanly unnatural for people not to gravitate toward freedom. When corruption happens in a capitalist society, the system of checks and balances needs to be revised, but the remedy for this corruption is not found on the left. The left believes that capitalism is evil, but history has always proven the contrary. Capitalism may not be without fault, but history has ALWAYS proven that socialism and communism are evil. This is why they always have to be forced - and it’s because of this that they have always failed – they are humanly unnatural. Socialists and communists are convinced that equality can successfully be constitutionalized. It can’t unless people are brainwashed into believing it as a truth. It’s funny how you mention Roman history. My area of study was Ancient and Medieval Studies. Ancient Rome as you say functioned as a system of slave labor, controlled by a class of aristocrats. But it was not built on an economic system categorized by private or corporate ownership of goods; or by investments; or by the distribution of goods; or by private or corporate competition in a free market, which is what capitalism is all about. The economy of the Roman Republic can't be compared to a capitalistic one unless it is lifted out of its historical context. Socialist minded people have been brainwashed. They need to read Plato's Allegory of the Cave, but they have been so indoctrinated that I don't think they will see themselves in it.

It's weird but since Trump won I have felt like an orphan on a national level. I feel like I am not allowed to like a lot of the actors and singers and shows that I grew up loving simply because they have become so politically anti-conservative and vicious. I am slowly getting over this feeling of abandonment but it hasn't been easy.
