They should retire the name Karen as a moniker for belligerent women and just leave it as a name for women.

@issaflo1224 The fear is not based in reality - it's the media and left wing government stoking a made up fear to make it appear real so the left wing government will look like the ones who will save the black population - it's all for their votes. The left wing government uses the media to create this false reality all for power. The truth is what happened to this man happens to thousands of people every single day regardless of color. In this case, the cops made a mistake so the man is suing the department. Happens everyday, nothing new...

@americanlonewolf1390 I wish I knew. Explanations are largely conjectures and very confusing - no one seems to know for sure. They know it started in liberal circles because it seems they associated the moniker with white privilege. But lately I've seen videos and video shorts of angry, belligerent women of all races being called Karens. Either way, it's just plain rude. I remember after Hurricane Katrina I felt bad for women named Katrina because of its association with the catastrophic tragedy of the storm, but at least the name Katrina is not as common as Karen! I wonder if anyone remembers far back enough (if they're old enough!) when hurricanes were named exclusively after women because women had the reputation of being like angry storms! Over time, women fought against that - so they started using male names too. They could have just started naming the hurricanes - for example - by the letter of the alphabet and the two digit year - like A23, B23, C23 and so on.
