AOC said that if we don't do anything about climate change then the world will face dire consequences in 12 years. Meanwhile, North America, parts of South America, most of Europe, Australia, and New Zealand are among the cleanest countries on the face of this planet. The countries that are truly guilty of TOXIC levels of pollution and whose carbon footprint FAR, FAR exceeds our own are doing absolutely nothing about theirs (I'm talking about China, Pakistan, India, Egypt - among others - do your research). So the citizens of the cleaner countries will be paying taxes on trillion dollar programs, but we will STILL be facing dire consequences in 12 years. I believe ALL countries should do their part, but if China, India, Pakistan, Egypt and all those TOXIC, FILTHY countries don't do their part, we will be implementing our green program, paying through our noses, with ZERO results!! Politicians should be targeting those polluted countries I mentioned. But doing this does not give them political leverage over the opposing political factions in their own country. The only reason why the globalists in the Americas and Europe are doing this is for political power and they are using children to gain it. It's disgusting, shameful and downright criminal.

The problem is that even if we implement her trillion dollar green deal, we will STILL be facing dire consequences because the countries whose pollution and carbon footprint are choking their citizens are doing NOTHING about theirs - and NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THEM! Do you honestly believe that the climate problems that China, India, etc. are creating hovers over their countries and doesn't affect the rest of the world? Are you that blind? World politicians should be pushing THEM to do something about theirs. Not us. We're doing a damn good job as it is - without the Paris Climate Accord and without the green deal. But realize that these countries are too poor to do anything about their problem. Even if we did pay our way into a trillion dollar program it would be with ZERO RESULTS. For the life of me I can't understand how no one sees this. As for "global crisis" - only a panel of a few hundred scientist were consulted. Do you realize that there are literally thousands upon thousands of scientists on planet earth? What are these other scientists all saying? Not all agree. My question as a professional researcher is WHY? The scientists (whether they believe in global warming or not) are the experts. I, as a researcher, would like to hear BOTH SIDES. But politics has done its best to parade one side and silence the other. WHY?

The United States reduced its carbon dioxide emissions by 42 million metric tons for the third consecutive year by 2017 - more than any other country in the world. Globally, carbon dioxide emissions increased 1.6 percent to 33.4 billion metric tons—an increase of 426 million metric tons. The world largest emitter of carbon dioxide emissions is China, whose emissions increased by 118 million metric tons, or almost 3 times as much as U.S. emissions were reduced. According to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy, China produces 28 percent of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions. India is the world’s third largest emitter of carbon dioxide and had the second largest increment (93 million metric tons) of carbon dioxide emissions in 2017, more than twice as much an increase as the U.S. reduction. Together, China and India accounted for almost half (212 million metric tons) of the increase in total global carbon dioxide emissions (426 million metric tons) in 2017. We accomplished our emissions reduction goals AFTER withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord and WITHOUT a trillion dollar green deal. More significantly, NONE of the European Union countries have met their target for emissions reduction which they had agreed to in the PCA. Go figure.

@Baskerville1000 read my reply to CarJaune. The U.S. has done more in these last two years at reducing carbon emissions OUTSIDE of the PCA and without a trillion dollar green deal than all the EU countries have done INSIDE the PCA - combined. Another thing: there is no such thing and can never be any such thing as globalism - true globalism would necessarily mean that every single country on the face of this planet would have to be a part of it - that's a pipe dream. Globalism involves no more than a handful of nations who think they can dictate the rest of the world - it is nothing more than a multinational dictatorship. They even use children by indoctrinating them with their ideology the way the Nazis and the Fascists did....
