  1. Ben Simon, you are best placed of all to answer this question: why are so many posh, wealthy people in the south of England so enamoured of the idea of being Jewish? It seems to be the height of fashion to claim Jewish heritage. Does it have something to do with the idea of being special and superior to everyone else, perhaps?
