  1. Not true at all. There is an epidemic of rose tinted glasses. People have already forgotten the old boy's network, the power of 'connections' (nepotism) and the stranglehold of public schoolboys on Britain's public life. It's really sad how you people are revising history and mythologizing the (recent) past.
